Horseback Riding and Hiking Trails
We have spent some of the spring clearing out our horseback riding and hiking trails. The trails wind through diverse terrain with foothills, valleys, creeks, lakes, bridges and woods. Please make an appointment to come up and visit soon.
Horseback Riding with Cardinal Stables
We have partnered up with Beverly McGee and Cardinal Stables to offer our guests on-site horseback riding. Contact her today at 336 399-7099. She can offer on-site trail rides or on-site lessons in a private riding ring for you and your guests during your stay, or she can offer ongoing lessons here at the venue. She has plenty of well trained, experienced horses for both the novice and more experienced riders. This summer, when your kids are out of school, spend the night at one of our cabins with your family for the more “Dude Ranch of the East” experience.
Hiking for a Purpose
Enjoy miles of well-marked permanent trails, with many other detours, shortcuts and connecting paths available for use. We will provide you with a detailed topographic trail map, and you’ll be off to enjoy the trails at your own leisure. Pack a picnic and stop for lunch at one of the many scenic views or creek banks. You don’t have to pay us to hike, just leave a donation which we will contribute to the Stokes County Food Pantry. Hiking must be done by appointment at 336 351-2052.
