This weeks group celebrated a beautiful fall wedding and reception on the back patio. With guests from Charlotte, Winston Salem, and Greensboro, we were very grateful to have people come from a distance, spend time in the area, and enjoy this amazing fall weekend. They rented out 2 cabins on the property, providing a convenient location for preparing for the wedding as well as a nice spot for relaxing after the big party. They held a short rehearsal on Friday, and then they had a rehearsal dinner at Old North State Winery in nearby Mt. Airy. We were able to clean the venue and arrange tables and chairs from a different party on Friday night by early Saturday morning, and then the group and their vendors were able to put together an impressive arrangement for the evening ceremony. Taylored Blooms provided the flowers, while Kat Mendenhall from Merrymaking Events provided the wedding planning services. The group rented an eclectic collection of antique plates and table settings from Fresh.Local.Good.Food Group, which fit in well with the vintage look of the venue and the other table arrangements. A sincere thank you is in order to the caterer, Sweet Basil’s Catering, who provided mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres, a served salad, a full service buffet of “upscale barbecue”, and continued cleaning support throughout the night. Cakes by Manfred provided a delicious naked cake for desert. Rob + Kristen Photography was on hand to document the event. We’d also like to give a nod to the DJ, Split Second Sound, who drove up from Charlotte and entertained a packed dance floor throughout the entire night.
