The new Hanging Rock Cabin is ready and available for rent. Contact us today to organize a winter getaway or to spend the night after one of our bluegrass dinners in December and January. The view of Hanging Rock was the real reason for the location of the cabin. Facing East, guests will enjoy the sunrise coming up just over the mountain during the winter months of the year, and the sun lights up the rock face of the mountain in the evenings. There is a large front porch with locally made rocking chairs, which makes for a perfect place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. We often see wild turkeys meandering through this field. The morning sun shines through a large stained glass window on the front wall of the house, which is an adaptation on the more traditional barn quilt. Also, each bedroom has its own unique stained glass transom window. There are 3 bedrooms, and each bedroom has a connecting bathroom, and one other half bath is available off the great room. The interior walls are constructed with beautiful, stained rough cut wood, including the bathroom walls, with some extra paneling on the lower walls in the bedrooms. On the kitchen ceiling, we were able to utilize some leftover pieces of tin from the covered patio at the venue. However, to create a more distinctive look, we decided to paint them ivory and then put a finishing touch of glaze over top to obtain a warmer tone that goes well with the walls and cabinetry. Each bathroom boasts unique floor and shower tiles, traditional vanities and lovely champagne bronze fixtures.
