This group was the first group to ever book a night with us, and we are glad they did and glad that the fun night finally arrived.  They came in from Mt. Airy, NC on Friday night for a rehearsal dinner under the covered area, with a slide show displayed on the house AV system.  Little Richard’s brought in food for Friday night, and then they partially set up the venue for Saturday later that evening.  On Saturday, they arrived early to put the finishing touches on everything.  Taylored Blooms, in addition to being a bridesmaid, set up unique flower arrangements on each table.  Artist’s Way Creations provided all the food, cake and table settings for a very attractive environment, and the guests seemed to enjoy the delicious looking food.  I had a chance to visit the Red Cabin during the afternoon, and the group seemed to be having a good time in there while getting prepared for the ceremony.  The ceremony was out on the outdoor patio, and they couldn’t have asked for better weather.  After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed appetizers in the indoor area and drinks in the pool room, while our staff moved the chairs from the ceremony to the tables that were already decorated in the covered area.  The tables for the reception were in both the indoor area and the outdoor area, enabling guests to choose where they wanted to have their meal.  Mix Master Productions was the well prepared DJ for the evening.  We again played the slide show on both screens on Saturday, and the gracious hosts then allowed some guests to watch football for the remainder of the evening.

  • A Wired Venue

The wedding venue, and the overall property, is definitely rustic, with a vintage elegance.  However, we also realize that sometimes modern amenities are much appreciated, especially in a rural environment.  Although we are isolated, we have not lost touch.  Throughout the property, you will notice touches of cutting edge technology – from the solar hot water systems,…

  • Piggies on the Move!

We’ve moved the pigs to their spring pen.  Here’s a picture from a distance, just showing how natural the pen is, and how much area they have in which to root around – the fences are not shown in this picture. Here’s a more close up of some pretty comfortable appearing animals: There’s even a…

For those who like flowers, this group brought in van-loads of flowers, along with unique vases and other memorabilia to contain them.  Almost every table had a unique decoration, and nearly every flat surface was adorned with flowers.  The bathrooms had flowers.  The result really helped make the venue a better place (see Tammy Denny and…
