This week’s group rented church pews from Mountain Craft out of Boone, NC to celebrate a beautiful wedding by the lake. They came in on Friday and decorated for a rehearsal dinner, during which they played a slide show on the house audio visual system. After dinner, they finished a good bit of the decorations for Saturday, and the bride and bridesmaids stayed in one of the on-site cabins. One Fine Day Event Planning out of Mt. Airy helped apply the finishing touches on Saturday, along with Creative Designs Flowers and Gifts. Rusted Root in Pinnacle provided several of the rustic themed items. All of the guests parked at the venue, and then it was a short walk up the hill to the ceremony site adjacent to the venue. After the ceremony, the guests came back and enjoyed some delicious barbecue by Kenny Gwyn cooked on a cooker just outside the kitchen. The reception was held with tables set up both inside and outside the venue, with the dance floor out in the covered area. Lorene’s Bakery made the impressive cake since the gigantic candy bar (bar of candy? – see pictures) was not already enough for the sweet tooths at this party. Jennifer Koe Photography took the photos, besides the polaroids that guests were allowed to take of themselves. Derwin Woodard did an outstanding job playing the music out at the ceremony site as well as at the reception.
