This group chose to have a fully outdoor reception after the ceremony, and what a good decision that turned out to be. The ceremony was indoors, with 179 lined up around the fireplace. After that, seats for 200 were set up under the covered reception area. The outdoor patio was used as the dance floor, which worked really well. Typically, we have the dance floor inside, but, given the good weather conditions, we moved everything outside, and they were able to take advantage of a gentle breeze on a comfortable 70-80 degree clear night. The DJ (Jared Moxley) was set up just under the covered area and was able to keep the dance floor full throughout the evening. The pool room was used for pictures, cards and presents. The catering was done by the Winston-Salem based restaurant Highway 55, with excellent Boston Butt’s receiving compliments all around. Granite City Brewery from Mt. Airy provided courteous and helpful bartending and even offered to help our crew and the guests clean up in other areas after the party. Videography was done by One Love from Jamestown. On Friday night, the group had a rehearsal dinner, with a video displayed on the house AV system.
