This week’s group had a lot of fun. They rented both cabins for several nights and were able to get a feel for the property. They then held an all day get together down in the venue on Saturday, fixing two meals for their guests at lunch and dinner. Music was played using the house sound system. Given the heat, they also had a few wise adaptations, such as the “mister” which they laced though the arbor to cool off their guests. They built their own centerpieces for their tables, and provided unique plants in each, some of which had been grown from seed by the bride over a year ago. They were also animal lovers, and they requested some interaction with animals from the farm. We assembled a temporary fence in front of the venue, and we brought 2 llamas down for the guests to enjoy. I think both llamas and guests had a good time. We also ran some hay rides, riding over the new covered bridge and taking a short cut through the shady woods to escape the hot sun for a little while. Later, we took a ride higher up on the property and enjoyed views of Hanging Rock and a different short cut through the woods. The group provided fireworks after dark, and then it was back to the cabins to continue the celebration. The next day, they held an intimate ceremony under the covered area.
