This week’s group tested the electrical power of the facility to the limits.  A DJ played first, after the guests arrived from the ceremony which was held in Mt. Airy.  He was set up in the covered area and had an extensive set of speakers and an impressive light show as well.  After that, the band Sombra de la Sierra set up on the outdoor patio and played on until closing time.  Fortunately, everything held up well, and I think the bride and groom and their guests had a good time.  The group lives nearby, but they had out of town guests who rented cabins for a couple of nights.  The bride and groom and many assistants arrived on Friday night so that they knew they would have plenty of time to prepare for the guest list of around 240.  The flowers were excellent and adorned each table.  In addition, the group also brought in some cut logs, and placed several large arrangements on top of these, which was a nice touch.  They also constructed a large cake display arrangement, and this group definitely had the most cake out of any other I’d seen.  Luckily, the weather held out for them, so it was a long, enjoyable evening for all.
