The wedding venue, and the overall property, is definitely rustic, with a vintage elegance. However, we also realize that sometimes modern amenities are much appreciated, especially in a rural environment. Although we are isolated, we have not lost touch. Throughout the property, you will notice touches of cutting edge technology – from the solar hot water systems, to the current pool, to the wi-fi, and the audio-visual system. We hope all these features will be useful during your event here.
In deciding to install the audio-visual system, we had many groups in mind. The barn was primarily designed with Saturday weddings as our core focus, but we also know we can be of use to other groups during the rest of the week and in the off season (the winter months). Private parties, fundraisers, business meetings, presentations, sports fans, and others, as well as brides and grooms who want to stream their own music and show embarrassing pictures from their youth, can all enjoy the capabilities of the audio visual system.
The most practical feature of the audio-visual system is the sound system. The system was professionally designed and installed by Davidson Audio-Visual. They helped us account for the size of each area and for the positioning of the speakers. However, the best characteristic of the system is its simplicity. During your tour, please ask me to sample the system – we can connect to your device (cell phone, tablet, laptop) through your ear phone jack and help you play your own music to the 2,500 square foot covered area, the 1,500 square foot interior, as well as the 3,000 square foot open patio. If you want, skip the DJ – just have a friend stream music or use a playlist you made beforehand. If you have a band, who usually have their own audio equipment, we have plenty of power hook ups to accommodate their needs.
The next feature is the video capability. Through the VGA or HDMI port on your device (ipad adapters also available), we can put slide shows on the 6.5 foot x 11.5 foot projection screen in the indoor area, as well as on the 80 inch mounted flat screen in the covered area. Another issue that comes up during weddings is that sometimes they occur on the weekend of the biggest sporting event of the year. At Luna’s Trail, we can deal with this issue by displaying the event via satellite television, as discretely as desired. For business meetings, we can display presentations up on one or both screens as well. There is also a cordless microphone available, with a ducking feature in which the volume of the music decreases when someone’s voice activates the microphone. For parties, you can put up slide shows, display satellite television on one or both screens, or you can stream a concert from your laptop with HD resolution imaging and top of the line audio.
