Covered Bridge Almost Complete
The covered bridge is coming along nicely, despite the cold and wet weather.
Set just below the wedding venue, the bridge will make an excellent backdrop for you and your guests when looking off of the patio. However, it also has significant functional capabilities, since it will enhance your and your guests’ abilities to gain access to the trails down by the creek below the venue. It is also quite sturdy – you might remember there is a tractor trailer truck bed under there – so it’s capable of supporting the weight of the tractor pulling a hay ride.
All that remains is to even out the soil ramping up to the bridge, then we’ll put up a retaining wall with some stone covering on it that will look similar to the fireplace in the venue. In the spring, we’ll stain the wood a similar color to the venue. It will be an excellent place for pictures.
