This week’s group came up from Charlotte, NC for a wedding ceremony on Labor Day weekend. They showed up early on Friday to decorate and rented both cabins for the weekend, even a double rental in the green cabin when friends showed up on Saturday from out of town. They had a nice rehearsal dinner on Friday night, with music from our sound system. Saturday was again spent preparing for the wedding with various activities available after the ceremony, including the largest Jenga I have ever seen, cornhole, and of course they made use of the fire pit. Bib’s from Winston Salem again came and catered on Friday night as well as Saturday night. About 70 strong, they took advantage of their numbers and held the ceremony in an intimate location just behind the pool room. Given the ideal weather locations, we allowed them to use the brown chairs outdoors as well as the arbor. Indoors was used for presents, cupcakes, and a sign in, as well as for the buffet. The receptions tables were set up under the covered area, with the dance floor backing up to the DJ, who was located against the wall closest to the parking lot. They even had their own monogram displayed on the wall above the DJ.
